A versatile left back, Estrada can cause nervous moments for opponents because of his talent on dead-ball situations. An exceptional taker on free kicks, he puts a good swerve on the ball with his left foot. Estrada also has the ability to pick out players for long passes. Coach Marco Bielsa included him in the qualifying rotation after taking over the national program, and Estrada appeared in seven consecutive matches and a stretch of nine of 10. His lone goal with Chile came in a 4-0 rout of Bolivia on June 10, 2009. Estrada has been playing with Universidad de Chile since 2007 after starting his club career with Everton in 2001.
