A defender with bags of flair, Vasilas Torosidis enjoys supporting his midfield by get getting forward to attack. Torosidis has only had two clubs since signing his first professional contract in 2002. He began his career at Greek side Skoda Xanthi in 2003, and at the age of 17 he scored his first goal for the club. After impressing in his four years at Xanthi, he attracted interest from Greece's 'big three', Olympiakos, Panathinaikos and AEK Athens. After numerous offers and enquiries he joined his current club Olympiakos on a five-year deal in 2007. There, he has developed into a hard-working full-back who can play on the left or right. The Greek side have placed a seven million euro price tag on him and if he continues his recent form, he could soon be on the move.
