Career Highlights:

Scott has never won a medal in an individual event at a major international competition, a drought she'll be looking to end in Sochi. The first-time Olympian has earned five World Cup medals in her career, but all were as a member of a relay team. She also was part of the silver-winning relay at the 2012 world championships. Unfortunately, however, the American women did not qualify for the 3,000-meter relay in Russia, so Scott will be competing in all three individual events - the 500, 1,000 and 1,500 meters. Scott began inline skating at just 3 years old in her native Missouri. After winning five world titles in that sport, she switched over to the ice and short track in 2008 in an attempt to make the Olympics. While she fell short of qualifying for Vancouver, Scott did earn a spot on the 2010 World Cup squad and has been a member of the United States' last four Cup teams.
