Career Highlights:

A member of the bronze-winning relay team in Vancouver, Dudek's next attempt to win a short track Olympic medal will come in two individual races. The United States failed to qualify for the women's relay in Sochi, leaving the 23-year-old to compete in the 500 and 1,500 meters. Dudek raced in the 500 at the 2010 Games, failing to advance past the quarterfinals. However, thanks to South Korea's disqualification in the 3,000 relay, she didn't come home empty-handed. Dudek began skating after watching a club train at a nearby ice center around the time of the 1998 Olympics and became a Category 1 short track athlete five years later. She followed that by becoming a Category 1 long track athlete in 2004. Dudek made her first World Cup squad in 2008 - while she was still in high school. She was part of the bronze medal-winning team later that season in the world championships and was part of another third-place finish in 2011. Dudek won a bronze as a member of the 3,000-meter relay at the 2010 world championships and is a seven-time medalist in World Cup competitions. She's won six silvers as a member of a relay and one individual bronze in the 1,000 meters, which came in October 2011. That medal in Salt Lake City came one year after she dislocated her left shoulder during a competition and severely tore her labrum.
