Greubel will join Elana Meyers and Jazmine Fenlator as the United States' three drivers in Sochi. Greubel finished this World Cup season ranked No. 3 in the world, behind Canada's Kaillie Humphries and American Elana Meyers. This will be the first Olympics for Greubel after she was an alternate brakeman at the 2010 Games. She and brakeman Emily Azevedo finished first over the final two races of the U.S. team trials in October to cement her spot behind Meyers and ahead of Fenlator in the three-driver American lineup for the World Cup season. Greubel has been a podium regular since then with a variety of brakemen, winning two silver and two bronze medals. She teamed with Azevedo to earn her first World Cup medal, a silver, during the 2012-13 season. After winning multiple medals on the America's Cup tour, Greubel decided to become a driver midway through her career. She joined the U.S. bobsled team in the 2007-08 season after she was a member of the track team at Cornell University. Greubel has worked as a waitress to pay off student loans and to finance her bobsled career.
