Career Highlights:

The start of the 2014 season couldn’t have gone much better for Johaug, who became the first Norwegian female to win the Tour de Ski on Jan. 5. She finished 20.4 seconds ahead of Astrid Uhrenholdt Jacobsen in the overall standings, and Heidi Weng came in third as Norway became the first country to earn all three podium places in the Tour. “It's a dream come true for me,'' Johaug said. “It is amazing to become the first Norwegian to win the Tour, even better when Astrid and Heidi could join me on the podium.” Johaug also picked up a gold medal in the 10-kilometer classic at the Norwegian national championships Jan. 16. Johaug figures to be under the spotlight as she heads to Sochi ranked first in the FIS overall standings. She is also first in distance and 29th in sprint. Johaug is looking to build on an impressive Olympic debut in Vancouver, where she helped lead her team to a gold medal in the 4x5 relay, a race the Norwegian women are again expected to win. Johaug also finished sixth in the 15km pursuit and seventh in the 30km classic mass start. Johaug reached the podium four times in as many tries at the 2013 world championships, taking home the gold in the 4x5 relay and 10km freestyle. She has four career victories at the worlds and six on the World Cup circuit.
