Career Highlights:

Quick's first Olympic experience didn't include an appearance between the pipes. He was Team USA's third goaltender behind Ryan Miller and Tim Thomas in 2010, not dressing for any of the six games as the Americans took silver in Vancouver. His role will change significantly this time around at the games, and Quick is expected to start for Team USA in Sochi. Since the Vancouver Games, Quick has guided the Los Angeles Kings to the 2012 Stanley Cup while also winning the Conn Smythe trophy as playoff MVP. He was a finalist that same season for the Vezina Trophy as the league's top goaltender and has solidified himself as the top American netminder ahead of Miller and Jimmy Howard, who is expected to be the team's third goaltender. Quick showed durability through his first five-plus NHL seasons, but he strained his groin Nov. 12 and missed 24 contests. He returned Jan. 4 saying he felt 100 percent healthy, keeping his place as Team USA's likely starter. He's 16-13-2 with a 2.18 GAA in 32 starts. Though given a silver medal for being named to the 2010 team, Quick has never played a game for Team USA at any level.
