Errani of Italy wins 3rd Barcelona Open title

BARCELONA, Spain (AP) Sara Errani of Italy won her third Barcelona Open title in four years after beating third-seeded Dominika Cibulkova 6-2, 6-2 in the final Sunday.

The seventh-seeded Errani needed just over an hour to defeat Cibulkova on the outdoor clay court where she also won in 2011 and 2009. Errani was the runner-up in 2010.

Errani took advantage of Cibulkova's shaky serve and seven double-faults to break the Slovak player six times en route to victory.

Errani won her second title of the year after a victory in Acapulco in February.
