LONDON (AP) Gu Bon-gil led South Korea to a 45-26 victory Friday over Romania in the men's team saber final at the London Olympics, earning the Asians their first gold medal at a fencing team event.
The third-ranked Gu and teammates Kim Jung-hwan, Won Woo-young and Oh Eun-seok won all but one of the nine bouts in the final.
Italy took bronze after defeating world champion Russia 45-40.
