OMAHA, Neb. (AP) In a July 2 story about Michael Phelps dropping the 200-meter freestyle from his Olympic program, The Associated Press incorrectly reported that no swimmer has ever won the same event in three straight Olympics. Dawn Fraser of Australia won the 100 freestyle and Krisztina Egerszegi of Hungary won the 200 backstroke in three straight games, but no male swimmer has ever done so.
