Career Highlights: Eller claimed the United States’ first medal in men’s double trap shooting in record-breaking fashion and will seek another gold as he makes his fourth Olympic appearance. The U.S. Army sergeant and member of its marksmanship unit hit 190 out of 200 targets in Beijing to top the previous Olympic record by one. Since that performance, he’s won a gold medal at the Pan Am Games and finished third at the 2011 world championships. Eller won a world title in 2003, after finishing second the previous year. He’s also a two-time World Cup finals champ (2001 and 2007), and has earned five other gold medals in that series. Eller finished tied for 12th in the 2000 Sydney Olympics at age 18, and tied for 17th four years later in Athens. His full name is Walton Glenn Eller III.
