  • Career Highlights: Lihan will be making her first Olympic appearance, teaming with skipper Amanda Clark in the 470 division in London. She began competing in Laser class mainly due to her ability to sail that type of boat given her height of 6-foot-1. She was an All-American sailor at Yale her senior year before graduating in 2010. Lihan said her desire to compete in the Olympics began as a sophomore in high school. Her dream was temporarily delayed in 2004, when she competed in the trials but failed to qualify for Athens. She finished third at the trials in 2006 and 2007.
