Career Highlights: Hendershot will appear in her first Olympics after teaming with Sarah Zelenka on the first-place finishing pairs boat at the Olympic Trials in June. Hendershot, a native of West Simsbury, Conn., started rowing in high school nine years ago. She has since won gold in the four at last year’s world championships and at the 2010 U-23 championships. While at Princeton, Hendershot was a three-time All-region selection and a D-1 All-American in 2009. As a senior in 2010, Hendershot helped the Tigers take third in the varsity eight at the NCAA championships - Princeton’s first medal in that event since taking gold in 2006 - and second at the Eastern Sprints. Hendershot also took first in the eights at the 2004 and 2005 USRowing National Championships.
