Career Highlights: Barrett has burst onto the scene in the high jump world, and is making the first of what could be multiple trips to the Olympics. Barrett, who completed her junior year at the University of Arizona in the spring, cleared 2.01 meters at the U.S. trials, the best ever by a collegian. "I've been obsessed with putting my name in the collegiate record book," said Barrett, who weeks before the trials, won the NCAA outdoor championship with a jump of 1.93m. She also won the indoor championship in March (1.96m) after winning indoor and outdoor titles as a sophomore in 2011. Barrett won the 2011 U.S. outdoor championships with a jump of 1.95m and was that year’s world university games champion.
