  • Career Highlights: Goucher qualified for the London Games by finishing third at the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials on Jan. 14 in Houston with a time of 2:26:06. She was a member of the U.S. Olympic team in 2008 in Beijing, finishing ninth in the 5,000 meters and 10th in the 10,000 meters. Outside the Olympics, she has medaled twice in major events, taking bronze in the 3,000 meters at the 2006 World Cup and bronze in the 10,000 meters at the 2007 World Championships. Goucher finished third in the 2008 New York City Marathon with a time of 2:25:53, was third in the 2009 Boston Marathon (2:32:25) and fifth at the 2011 Boston Marathon (2:24:26). She was second at the 2011 USA Outdoor Championships in the 10,000 meters.
