Career Highlights: Hochschorner and his twin brother, Peter, switched from flatwater canoeing to slalom events in 1996, and many may not have been able to foresee how it would change Olympic history. The twins will be seeking a fourth consecutive gold medal in the C-2 event at the Games. The Hochschorners were destined to be canoers, as their parents competed in the slalom in Czechoslovakia and their sister competed in flatwater events. They are three-time defending world champions and have won the overall World Cup title a record 10 years. The Hochschorners, who have won eight gold medals at the European championships, are hands down the team to beat in London.
