- Career Highlights: The silver medalist in floor exercise at the 2010 world championships, Chelaru followed that with another silver in floor at the 2011 European Championships after winning bronze in the event at the 2010 Euros. She took floor gold at the Cottbus World Cup this year, reaffirming her status as a legitimate Olympic medal threat. In addition, Chelaru placed fifth overall in the prestigious American Cup in March. Known for her steadiness and consistency, Chelaru is the fifth-ranked all-around gymnast in the world. In addition to her expertise on the mat, she showed off her broad range of skills by taking a bronze in vault at the 2011 Paris World Cup - an event which was highlighted by her silver in floor.
