Career Highlights: Carrington heads into her first Olympics as a favorite to medal in the K-1 200-meter flatwater event, which is no surprise to then reigning world champion. Carrington became the first New Zealand woman to ever win gold at the worlds in 2011, then finished second at the World Cup behind possibly her toughest competition - three-time Olympic champion Natasa Douchev-Janics of Hungary. Carrington also will compete in the K-2 500-meter event with teammate Erin Taylor. The duo took first at the World Cup.
