Career Highlights: Brovold didn't make his first Olympics until he was 38 years old, and he nearly left the Beijing Games with a gold medal. Thanks to a perfect final round, the Norwegian matched Vincent Hancock's 145 targets but lost in a shoot-off with the American and had to settle for silver. Brovold will again for Olympic gold in London after taking second at the 2011 world championships, this time falling short in a three-way shoot-off for the title. Brovold came in third at the 2006 world championships and has made regular appearances on the podium at World Cup events. He won the overall championship in 2004 and 2008, and had a second-place finish in 2011. He also has a pair of European titles and posted perfect scores of 150 while earning both.
