- Career Highlights: Riegelhuth Koren scored nine goals to lead Norway to a 34-27 victory over Russia at the 2008 Beijing Games for the country’s first gold medal in women's handball. She has been a fixture for the Norwegian team at right back since 2003, playing on the 2007 silver medal-winning world championship squad, the 2009 team that won the bronze at the worlds and, most recently, starring for the reigning world champions. That 2011 squad took Norway's second-ever gold at the worlds. Riegelhuth Koren has participated in all four of her country's unprecedented four straight gold medals at the European championships from 2002-10, and she was the top scorer in '08 with 51 goals. A 2008 IHF world player of the year, Riegelhuth Koren married Norwegian male handball star Eino Sand Koren on June 25, 2011.
