Career Highlights: Considered one of the best goalkeepers in the history of women’s handball, Haraldsen earned a place on the Beijing all-star team for leading Norway to Olympic gold for the first time, capped by a 34-27 win over Russia. The twin sister of fellow handballer Kristine Lunde-Borgersen, Haraldsen has played for her country since 2002, and has been an integral part of Norway’s unprecedented four straight gold medals at the European championships from 2002-10. She was named best goalkeeper at the 2008 Euros. Haraldsen has played for Norway in the last three world championships, leading her side to silver in 2007, bronze in 2009 and gold last year. She has played professionally for Danish club Viborg HK and Hungarian powerhouse Gyori AUDI ETO.
