Career Highlights: Along with fellow taekwondokas Atebrour Sanae and Wiam Dislam, Chernoubi will represent his native Morocco at the London Games after posting the first gold-medal finish of his career at January's African qualification tournament. Chernoubi, who's won 10 of 16 matches over the course of his career, is ranked No. 3 in the world in the 80 kg weight class coming into the summer, trailing only Great Britain's Aaron Cook and Azerbaijan's Ramin Azizov. Relatively green compared to some of his competition, it remains to be seen how Chernoubi will respond on the brightest of stages in his Olympic debut. However, as evidenced by his high ranking and recent resume, there's little doubt he has the skill to make a deep run into the tournament and onto the medal stand.
