During her return to the Olympics, she'll try to lead the South Korean women to a seventh straight team gold medal while regaining some individual glory. Before her injury, Lee appeared poised to pursue another Olympic medal in Beijing. She won a world title and claimed gold at the University Games in 2005. After earning the world's No. 1 ranking, she finished first at the 2007 Asian championships and led South Korea to the team gold. Since her return to competition, she’s appeared to pick up right where she left off with a second-place finish at a World Cup stop in Turkey in May. She was also a member of the winning team and winning mixed team during that event.
