- Career Highlights: One of the most dominant female wrestlers in history, Yoshida is a two-time defending Olympic champion and a 9-time world champion at 55 kg. She won gold at the 2004 and 2008 Olympics and has won the last seven world championships, in addition to titles in 2002 and 2003. She’s captured gold at the last three Asian Games (2002, 2006, 2010) and is the heavy favorite to win her third straight gold in London at the 2012 Olympics. At one point in her career, Yoshida won 119 matches in a row.
