  • Career Highlights: Stewart specializes in the 100 and 200 meters and is the reigning silver medalist in the 100 after finishing tied with Sherone Simpson at the 2008 Games in Beijing _ Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce took the gold to give Jamaica a clean sweep. Stewart earned another medal in her first Olympics, securing the bronze in the 200, but was unable to help Jamaica defend its title in the 4x100 meter relay as the team did not finish the race because of a bad baton exchange. She has won a gold medal and two silver medals at the World Championships in the 4x100 and took the silver in the 100 at the 2009 Worlds, finishing just two-hundredths of a second behind Fraser-Pryce by matching her personal-best time of 10.75 seconds. Stewart was a star at Auburn University, finishing as national runner-up in the 100 and 200 at the 2006 NCAA Championships as well as anchoring the Tigers' fifth-place 4x400 relay team. Stewart has said her first love was to become a lawyer, and she majored in adult education while at Auburn.
