Career Highlights: Goudarzi will be competing in his first Olympics in London. He was runner-up to American Jordan Burroughs at the 2011 world championships, but has dominated competitions in Asia, his native continent. He won the Asian championship in March, an event he also won back in 2009. Goudarzi also won the Asian Games in 2010, and he’s had other successes at the international level, finishing second at the 2010 world championships and third at the 2009 event. Goudarzi was junior champion at the 2006 Asian championships.
