Career Highlights: Ranked No. 2 in the world in the heavyweight division, Toelzer heads to London with high aspirations. Bringing home the gold, however, could prove difficult barring what would be widely considered a monumental upset over up-and-coming superstar Teddy Riner. Since defeating Riner in a world cup event back in 2006, Toelzer has lost six consecutive matches to the top-ranked Frenchman - including a defeat at the 2008 Olympics. This two-time world championship silver medalist, though, has impressed thus far in 2012, winning all but one of his eight matches. He most recently went 5-0 to earn a first-place finish at the IJF Grand Prix Düsseldorf in February. The German native will be making his third Olympic appearance. He finished seventh at the 2004 Games before losing two of three matches in Beijing.
