- Country: France
- Sport: Canoe
- Height: 6'1" / 1.85m
- Weight: 168 lbs / 76.2 kg
- Born: 5/6/1978
- Hometown: Pau, France
- Career Highlights: Estanguet is regarded as one of the world's top canoeists, and the two-time Olympic gold medalist will be looking to redeem himself after an uncharacteristically poor performance in Beijing. Estanguet headed into the previous Games after winning gold in Sydney and Athens, where a late review awarded him the honor over rival Slovakian Michal Martikan. But after carrying the French flag at the opening ceremonies in 2008, he finished ninth in the C-1 slalom event and failed to qualify for the final run. Estanguet and Martikan have a strong rivalry, with the two combining to win the last four Olympic gold medals.
- Previous Olympics: 2008,2004,2000
