Chen Ruolin People's Republic of China

  • Country: China
  • Sport: Diving
  • Height: 5'2" / 1.57m
  • Weight: 104 lbs / 47.2 kg
  • Born: 12/12/1992
  • Career Highlights: Chen likely won't be able to top her performance from the 2008 Olympics, but matching it would make her 2012 Games a smashing success. That's because Chen won gold medals in the 10m platform competition and the sychronized 10m platform - partnering with Wang Xin - in Beijing. Even that was merely the tip of the iceberg for the diminutive Chen, the first Chinese female diver to win gold medals in every possible platform event in the Olympics, world championships and World Cup. She has 10m synchronized golds from the last three world championships, and captured the individual 10m gold at the 2009 worlds. She is a four-time reigning gold medalist in the synchronized event at the FINA Diving World Cup, and captured gold in the individual platform event in the 2008 and 2012 World Cups, adding a silver in 2010. Chen was named the first FINA female diver of the year in 2010.
