Career Highlights: Not only will Gonzalez make his Olympic debut in London – he’ll be the first Chilean gymnast to compete at the Games. He may be targeting a medal, too, after winning the floor exercise – tying with Great Britain’s Daniel Purvis - and finishing fifth on the vault at the Olympic qualification test event in January. Gonzalez has won a combined four medals on the floor and vault at the Pan American Games, where he got bronze in the all-around in 2011. He took sixth on the floor and 22nd in the all-around at the 2011 world championships, 15th in the all-around at the 2010 event and seventh on the floor at 2009 worlds in London.
