Career Highlights: An up-and-coming opposite hitter, Neves will be making his first Olympic appearance for Brazil after he helped it secure passage to London with a third-place finish at the World Cup in November. Neves forms an imposing figure on the front line and finished 14th in scoring at the World Cup with 135 points, recording 111 via spike with a 51.15 percent success rate _ good for fifth in the 12-nation field. At the club level, Neves has split his time between Brazil and Italy and currently is in his second season with Italian side Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo. Neves has a strong international pedigree of winning titles, including a pair of World League crowns in 2009 and 2010 as well as a world championship title in 2010.
