Career Highlights: Beltrame will participate in her third Olympics this summer after competing in 2004 and ’08. She took a year off from competition in 2009 to have a child and has returned with some of the best results of a career that started in 1997. Beltrame became Brazil’s first world champion last year, but the event she won (lightweight single sculls) is not contested in the Olympics. She'll team with Luana Bartholo in the lightweight sculls in London after they took second at the Olympic qualification regatta in March. Seeking her first Olympic medal, Beltrame earned her first gold at a World Cup event in Hamburg last year - Brazil’s first gold at a World Cup event.
