Career Highlights: World champions Outteridge and teammate Iain Jensen will compete in the 49er class in London, hoping to build off their strong performances leading up to the Olympics. The duo took silver in April at the ISAF World Cup after winning gold at the world championships in December. It marked their second world title together, and the third overall for Outteridge, who finished fifth at the Beijing Games four years ago. His success is all the more remarkable given that he was involved in a car accident in 2005 which broke his back, leaving doctors to wonder whether he'd ever walk again. Outteridge recovered, and when he was 22 years old won the 2008 worlds with then-teammate Ben Austin, with whom he competed in Beijing.
