  • Career Highlights: Gluckstein won all three U.S. Olympic trials events to punch his ticket to London, earning a big measure of redemption after missing the Beijing Games following his stumble at the same event four years ago. The three-time national champion narrowly beat Logan Dooley in the final qualifying event this year, giving him a shot at becoming the first U.S. athlete to medal in trampoline at the Olympics since the event was added in 2000. Gluckstein already has a significant first on his resume, having teamed with Dooley to earn the first U.S. trampoline gold in a World Cup event in 2009 with a victory in the synchronized competition. Gluckstein began his athletic career studying taekwondo until his school's closure ended that pursuit. To keep him involved in sports, his mother signed him up for gymnastics under the tutelage of 1996 world trampoline champion Tatiana Kovaleva, who remains his coach.
