Career Highlights: Adams earned her first Olympic bid by finishing first in the 200 butterfly at the U.S. trials in June. It will be the lone event in which she'll compete at the Games despite also finishing third in the 400 individual medley at the trials. She's a sophomore at Texas A&M who competes on the swim team along with her identical twin, Ashley. Adams' qualification for the Olympics completes her comeback from a torn rotator cuff she suffered prior to her freshman year of college. She owns school records in the 200 butterfly and 500 freestyle events.
