  • Career Highlights: After finishing 10th in the pole vault at the 2008 Olympic trials, Janson earned a trip to London with a third-place finish of 4.50 meters at the U.S. track trials. “I was waiting for the sound of the crowd to tell me what happened,” Janson said of her final jump. “The sound of the crowd told me I was in third place and going to the Olympics.” Janson, a six-time NCAA All-American at Florida State, where she won both an outdoor and indoor championship, won her first national title in 2010, clearing 4.65 meters at the U.S. indoor championships. In 2010, she had the best indoor jump by an American at 4.66 meters and second-best outdoor jump at 4.60 meters.
