Career Highlights: Musnicki makes her Olympic debut as the Americans try to match their gold medal-winning effort in the eights in the 2008 Beijing Games. Musnicki won gold in that event in each of the last two world championships, and she helped the U.S. set a world record (5:54.17) earlier this year. She rowed at Ithaca College for three years after transferring from St. Lawrence University, where she picked up the sport in 2001. While at Ithaca, Musnicki was on the varsity eight boat for three years and was part of the NCAA Division III national title team as a junior and senior. She was named a first-team All-American as a senior in 2005. Musnicki plans on pursuing a career in nursing following the Games.
