United States of America

  • Country: United States
  • Sport: Cycling
  • Height: 5'8" / 1.73m
  • Weight: 132 lbs / 59.9 kg
  • Career Highlights: The reigning road national champion, Duggan is headed to his first Olympics after earning a discretionary selection from USA Cycling. Until securing an Olympic berth, winning the road race at the 2012 national championships was the highlight of his career. Duggan also finished sixth in the time trial at the 2012 worlds. While he has spent a fair amount of time on the podium through the years, Duggan's career was in jeopardy during the 2008 season when he broke his clavicle, scapula, and suffered a brain hemorrhage after crashing during the third stage of the Tour de Georgia. The true competitor he is, Duggan recovered from those serious injuries to resume racing competitively in 2009. An avid skier, Duggan raced competitively in that sport while growing up in Colorado. It was during that time on the slopes when his ski coaches turned him on to cycling as a way to stay in shape during the offseason.
  • Previous Olympics: None
