Career Highlights: A veteran known for her tough, rugged and unselfish play in the middle of the field, Lindsey is expected to be an important cog in the U.S. lineup at the London Games. She's strong on the ball and helps the U.S. keep possession as it transitions offensively. Lindsey didn't break onto the national team until being named to last summer's World Cup squad. She helped the team to the final, where it fell to Japan on penalties. Her first international goal came in a 13-0 romp of Guatemala in CONCACAF qualifying for the London Games. She's not likely to be on the score sheet on a regular basis in London, as a lot of her work goes unnoticed. Still, she will be integral to the team's success since she provides much-needed toughness on a squad that boasts some of the best offensive talent in the world. Her role is well defined, and she rarely strays from it.
