Career Highlights: To say a certain player's presence is like having another coach has become cliche in sports, but in Wright's case the metaphor is true. The veteran attacker - he's been involved with the national team since 1997 - has also been the head coach of UCLA's men's water polo team since 2009. He also played for the Bruins teams that won NCAA championships in 1999 and 2000. Wright was one of the stars for the U.S. team that won silver at Beijing in 2008, totaling four goals and a team-high nine assists. He also played for the American team that finished second at the 2004 Athens Olympics. In more recent competition, Wright scored two goals at the 2012 FINA World League Super Final, and five at the 2011 World Championships, where Team USA finished fifth. He has had stints playing professionally in Italy and Russia.
