NHL fines Senators $10,000, Konopka $2,500

NEW YORK (AP) The NHL fined the Ottawa Senators $10,000 and forward Zenon Konopka $2,500 for Konopka's conduct prior to Game 2 of the first-round playoff series against the New York Rangers.
Konopka was fined for his verbal abuse directed at a New York Rangers player conducting a live television interview nearby during pregame warm-ups. The $2,500 fine is the maximum allowed under the collective bargaining agreement.
