Daniel Sedin absent from final practice
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) Canucks star Daniel Sedin was not at Vancouver's final practice Tuesday before the playoffs start.
Sedin, out with a concussion since March 21, was expected to take part in his second practice heading toward Wednesday's first-round series opener against the Los Angeles Kings. He took part in his first on-ice workout with the team Monday since being injured.
He was hurt when he took an elbow in the head from Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith, who was suspended for five games.
Sedin led the Canucks in goals during the regular season with 30 and had 67 points. He missed nine games, but the Canucks still won eight in his absence.
