Fedun crashed violently into the end-boards behind Devan Dubnyk, prompting screams to be yelled, medical personnel and an ambulance to attend to the young rookie. Analysis: Fedun endured a complex fracture of the right femur, which required immediate surgical attention. The injury is career-threatening. “We'll certainly honour our commitment to him, in terms of being there for him and his family," coach Tom Renney told the Oilers' official website. "The grey area now is how will he be as a player." |
