The move was made Tuesday after Harding cleared waivers. With Darcy Kuemper and Niklas Backstrom the top two goalies, there's no room on the Wild roster for now.
Analysis: The 30-year-old was taken off injured reserve Monday. He hasn't skated with the Wild this season. Harding broke his right foot in an incident off the ice a few days before training camp and was put on a suspended list. His last appearance in a game was Dec. 31. Illness related to his multiple sclerosis kept him out of action the rest of the way. Harding finished 18-7-3 with three shutouts in 29 games and led the NHL with a 1.65 goals-against average.

Analysis: If Harding is not claimed by another NHL team, he will be assigned to the Wild's American League Hockey affiliate in Iowa to get him back in game shape. Harding had been on a non-roster suspended list, since his broken right foot occurred off the ice Sept. 14, a few days before training camp began. Harding has not played since Dec. 31, before illness related to his multiple sclerosis kept him out of action the rest of last season.
