|Feb. 26 10:52 AM PT11:52 AM MT12:52 PM CT1:52 PM ET-The Sharks on Tuesday traded Davison, a seldom-used defenseman, to the New York Islanders for a seventh-round pick in the upcoming draft.
Analysis: Davison, a bruiser who never earned a regular job in seven seasons with the Sharks organization, likely wouldn't have played much after the club traded for defenseman Brian Campbell from Buffalo on Tuesday. He had two goals and 12 assists in 176 career games with San Jose.
|Nov. 29 3:23 AM PT4:23 AM MT5:23 AM CT6:23 AM ET-Davison returned to the Sharks' lineup for their 3-2 shootout loss to the visiting Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday. It was the defenseman's first appearance since he sprained a finger on his left hand during a fight with Detroit's Aaron Downey in an Oct. 26 road loss to the Red Wings. Davison does not have a point in six games this season.
Analysis: The 27-year-old Davison has two goals and 12 assists in 167 career games.
|Oct. 28 6:16 AM PT7:16 AM MT8:16 AM CT9:16 AM ET-San Jose placed Davison on injured reserve Sunday. Davison sprained a finger on his left hand during a fight with Detroit's Aaron Downey on Friday night.
Analysis: The Sharks didn't immediately announce a timetable for his return. He does not have a point in five games this season. Davison has two goals and 12 assists in 166 career games.
|Jun. 16 9:00 PM PT10:00 PM MT11:00 PM CT12:00 AM ET-Davison re-signed with the San Jose Sharks on Monday, agreeing to a one-year contract.
Analysis: Unless San Jose moves to acquire another veteran defenseman, Davison will be in competition with Doug Murray during training camp following the departure of Scott Hannan, who signed with Colorado as a free agent. Davison was a restricted free agent after playing in 22 games for San Jose last season. The hard-hitting defenseman has scored 14 points in 161 games over four seasons with the Sharks, who drafted him in 1998.
