He had a career season with Anaheim during the 2010-11 season, when he scored 18 goals and 50 assists in 81 games.

The Islanders suspended Visnovsky, acquired in a June trade, for failing to report to the team for the start of the NHL season. Visnovsky had been playing in Russia's KHL during the lockout.
Analysis: Neil Sheehy posted on his Twitter account Saturday night that Visnovsky would be back "no later than Feb 11th, possibly sooner." Sheehy says Visnovsky was away because of "personal medical reasons within his immediate family."

The Islanders announced the decision Wednesday.
Analysis: The 36-year-old Visnovsky argued that his no-trade clause remained valid even after he waived it in 2010 to accept a deal from the Edmonton Oilers to the Ducks. Last season, he had six goals and 21 assists in 68 games for the Ducks. He has 117 goals and 333 assists in 771 career games with the Los Angeles Kings, Oilers and Ducks.
