He won two Stanley Cups since making his debut with Detroit in 2002. He has been awarded the Lady Byng Trophy four times and the Selke Trophy three times. June 26 2:56 PM PT3:56 PM MT4:56 PM CT5:56 PM ET21:56 GMT5:56 AM 北京时间2:56 PM MST4:56 PM EST1:56 UAE (+1)17:56 ET - Datsyuk has had surgery on his right ankle and will be re-evaluated in three months. The Detroit Red Wings confirmed Datsyuk's operation Friday, saying it was to repair ruptured tendons in the ankle.
Analysis: Datsyuk, who turns 37 next month, had 26 goals and 39 assists in 63 games last season. He hasn't played 80 games in a season since 2010. The Red Wings still depend on Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg for veteran leadership and offensive production, but the team has added younger talent like Gustav Nyquist and Tomas Tatar in recent years. Detroit will have a new coach next season in Jeff Blashill, who took over after Mike Babcock left this offseason.
