Scouting Report

Stepaniak started 31 career games and played both guard positions for the Hoosiers. A team captain in 2019, he was named third-team All-Big Ten.

Built like a cinder block with natural power - exhibited in his 37 reps of 225 at the NFL Scouting Combine -- strength and nasty disposition. Shows good initial quickness off the snap and can rock defenders with his initial punch and leg drive to create movement. Physical even in pass protection with overall upper-body strength to control opponents if he's able to latch on. Quickly sees games and stunts coming and slides to get the edge blitz. Bully with enough balance and agility to function in the NFL.

Stubby frame with short limbs. Not enough reach to play tackle. Can struggle to dictate the action and has a tendency to catch and absorb. Negates his own strength by allowing his pads to get too high. Average athleticism for position. Missed Gator Bowl with undisclosed injury. Also missed six games in 2017 with an undisclosed injury.

Jordan Roos, Seattle Seahawks - Strong with a blocky frame and starting experience to get the attention of general managers. Sticking on an NFL roster could be difficult unless he shows positional versatility.

Projection: Fifth-Seventh Round
