Scouting Report
Huff wasn't high on a lot of personnel folks' radars prior to the Senior Bowl, when he spent the week blanketing receivers and showing off his light feet and fluid hips. But it was at the NFL combine where he really turned heads - if scouts were fast enough to see him. He ran a 4.49-second 40-yard dash, the third-fastest time among safeties, and also ran the 20-yard shuttle in an impressive 4.19. Huff spent his first three seasons at cornerback before making the move to safety, where he recorded 127 tackles and a pair of interceptions. He played both roles at the Senior Bowl, so there's some question about where he'll best fit in the NFL. There's also some concern that he's a bit of a tweener. Despite his high tackle total in 2013 he can be inconsistent in his technique, often leaving his feet looking for a big collision. He also has small hands, making it difficult to hang onto what he can get his mitts on. Huff contributed on special teams often at Wyoming, and that's likely where he'll see his first action in the NFL. He's a likely third or fourth round pick.
