Scouting Report
Cyprien is one of the best safeties available in the draft, but he's an unknown nationally after spending his collegiate career at FIU. Scouts, though, are well aware of his skills and expect him to be selected in the early rounds by a team looking to insert him into the lineup immediately. He intercepted seven passes while knocking down 23 passes and forced six fumbles with two recoveries over four years. He had a career-high four picks as a senior, getting one in a 28-21 loss to then-No. 20 Louisville on Sept. 22. He also leaves the Golden Panthers as their all-time leader with 365 tackles. Cyprien is known for his aggressive play, high work rate and big mouth - he constantly talks trash. He certainly backs up that brash attitude with highlight-reel hits, showing an impressive ability to force fumbles. He also possesses impressive speed and quickness to cover ground on passing downs, but needs to improve against the run since he tends to go for the big hit. His size is also a concern, but he makes up for that with strong leaping ability. He displayed that at the combine by leaping 38.5 inches vertically. He's also considered an intelligent player and a leader, traits that may increase his value.
